Art lives in the wild

Art lives in the wild….
It got left out in the cold,
so it wandered up a bush track
and made itself at home….

Some of my tipis in the Northern rivers, spanning nearly 10 years.

Tipi camp 1993, with my mare Paloosa & stallion Spotty, hand sewn 14′ canvas & leather tipi

Festivals with Noni & Povarti, Mardi Grass 1998 & Exodus 2001, 14′ painted wax calico tipi

Tipi goddess 1999 with Hawthorn, 19′ treadle sewn canvas, painted & waxed

Homelessness is a state of mind
Little did I know when I was given my first canvas, that I would live under canvas for almost 10 years.

Life is art if you make it
Not everyone needs to own land, as a traveler with my own accommodation, fencing & horses, I share farmed & gardened in amazing places, & got to know the land & communities for hundreds of kilometers around, making me feel more at home anywhere I go.
If you are meant to belong to a place, the land will keep you there.
